I am sure everyone is familiar with Amazon for purchasing just about anything that you can think of, but did you also know there are several ways that you can make money from Amazon? And it doesn’t mean that you have to apply for a job with them and hope you will get hired.
Today I am going to show you how to make money from home with Amazon. All of these jobs you can do from your home, and only one of my listed jobs actually has you being an employee. I use one of these methods to earn an income from Amazon, and it is the last one I have listed here.
Work From Home Customer Service Jobs
This is the only one that I have listed that would make you an actual employee of Amazon. Amazon hires customer service associates that work from home who would communicate with customers via phone and live chat to help answer their questions.
This position typically requires a high school diploma or GED, a year of customer service experience and that you are proficient in English. You would need basic phone and computer skills as well and a fast and reliable wired internet connection.
Amazon sends you required technology, including a headset.
The pay is generally listed around $10 per hour plus opportunities for bonuses. It includes paid training that is done online.

Write A Book
If you have some great ideas for a book, you can write a book and get it available to the public without ever getting a publisher. Amazon has options for publishing to Kindle or Print.
Publishing a Kindle book is completely free. In less than 5 minutes your book will be available to millions of readers within 24 to 48 hours. You can earn as much as 70% royalties through Kindle Direct Publishing. You set the price and still have the rights to your book.
Amazon’s Print-On-Demand Service is free as well. You can publish and distribute your book within a few days. You set the price and own your copyright and can earn royalties up to 60%.
Join Mechanical Turk
This is a service platform where people can post work request for specific prices. Each task is called a HIT or Human Intelligence Task. You can complete these tasks from home.
The tasks include opinion surveys, transcription and data entry. The pay will vary depending on how long the task will take, but you will be able to see the pay estimate before you begin, so you can decide if it is worth it for you.
Surveys will average at around $10 per hour but overall the range you will earn will be between $6 to $12 per hour. It is different companies posting and they are deciding how much they are willing to pay for a particular task.
Trade-in Program
Did you know that you can trade-in your old products to Amazon? There are many products that Amazon does accept, including gaming consoles, Kindles, phones, tablets, smart watches and so much more.
You do not receive payment as cash with this program, but are paid with an Amazon gift card only.

Amazon Affiliate Program
Amazon is the most recognizable e-commerce website available with over 320 million active customers offering over 560 million products to their customers.
When you join the Amazon Affiliate Program, you will be signed unique affiliate links that you can post and earn a commission from. You would go to the Amazon Associates page and sign up with your email address and it is free to join. You do need a website to join though.
Once you have a website and an Amazon Affiliate Link, you can start promoting the Amazon products immediately on your website and it also works well on Pinterest.
The Amazon Affiliate is a great way to monetize your website or blog. You simply add the Amazon special links which will take your readers to the Amazon products you have written about or products you have reviewed. When a reader clicks your link and makes a purchase, you will earn a commission.
Not only will you make a commission on the product you have written about, but you will also make a commission on any other products your reader might decide to purchase while on the Amazon site. The link will work for 24 hours from the time that they click the link and if they add products to their cart, but don’t purchase at that time, the link will work for 30 days for all items in the cart.
The great thing about working with Amazon, is they are very good at collecting information the minute you arrive on their site and will start directing you to other items you might be interested in. Your goal should be to get as many people to Amazon as possible and they will do the rest.
Amazon has hundreds of banners and widgets available to help drive traffic and sales that you have access to. Once you become an Amazon Associate you will notice on your Amazon page, that you will have a new banner called Amazon Associates SiteStripe. This is where you will get all the unique links that are assigned to your account that will allow Amazon to track the sales that have come through your website.
Amazon’s commission rate varies depending on the type of products you are promoting from 1% to 10%. You can see Amazon’s current commission structure here.
Building A Website For Amazon Products
Building a website is much easier than you might realize. Once you have a website, you should choose a niche that you would like to write about and then you can easily incorporate the Amazon Links to start earning.

First of all, good luck to you starting out being an affiliate marketer. It is great that you can receive commission from Amazon on anything that your readers would purchase when they have gone to Amazon from your links. There are so many products that your reader could purchase.
Amazon’s cookies are on 24 hours though, which is a much shorter period than many other affiliates, so hopefully your readers will be ready to purchase at the time that they read your article. It is easy to get approved on a trial bases, but you will need to get 3 sales within 6 months to get approval, and make sure to read all of their requirements, because if you break them, they will kick you out of the program. Read Amazon’s rules closely.
It is a great program if you are looking to make some money from a blog though.
